Due to its extensive collection of mathematical, engineering, and scientific libraries and its convenience for mathematical notation, data analysis, and visualization, MATLAB is widely used for science and engineering around the world, both in industry and academy.

MATLAB is a powerful tool for a range of applications, including signal processing, control systems, image processing, robotics, embedded systems, computational biology, and finance.

How long does it take to learn MATLAB?

It takes around two weeks to learn MATLAB if one is mostly concerned about its core features. If Simulink or specialized tools are desired, it can take several weeks to learn them.

What are the prerequisites for learning MATLAB?

Since MATLAB revolves around matrix and array mathematics, a prerequisite for MATLAB is a solid background in Linear Algebra. Depending on the application you are using MATLAB, knowledge of control engineering and signal processing may be required to use MATLAB’s tools properly.
